[15th January 2014]

The Embassy wishes to inform all Kenyans who are studying or training in Japan that application for The Kubota Fund's 2014/2015 grants is now open.

The Kubota Fund was established by Mr. Yutaka Kubota in 1984, based on his conviction that economic development and social stability of developing countries ultimately depend upon self-reliance for which the training of engineers is crucial. The Fund provides grants to trainees from developing countries that are already studying or doing research in Japan, particularly in such fields as civil, electrical, agricultural, environmental engineering, or development economics.

The deadline for application is 14th February 2014.
