Kenya Tourist Board Delegation (KTB), led by Ms. Jacinta Nzioka Mbithi-Ag. Director of Marketing, was in Japan for about a week-long visit (12nd – 21st January 2014) for the Tourism Sales Call. She was accompanied by Ms. Betty Ichan, Regional Marketing Manager and Mr. Voi Chiuli, Head of Human Capital and Administration.

During the visit, they had meetings with Japan Association of Travel Agents (JATA), Overseas Tour Operators Associations of Japan (OTOA) and other business partners such as travel agencies, tour operators and airlines in the following key Japanese cities: Tokyo, Nagoya, Osaka and Fukuoka.

The meetings focused on various topics including the market position of Kenya's product in Japan, customer needs and challenges in the promotion of Kenya tourism in Japan as well as possible future business cooperation between KTB and Japanese tourism agencies. Japan is one of the key markets in Asia for Kenya.

During the visit, the delegation also paid a courtesy call on the Embassy.
