[28th March 2014]

The Embassy of Kenya wound up an Exhibition dubbed "Kenya Week" at Nagano Japan which displayed Kenyan tourism information and export products. The Exhibition from 3rd to 7th March 2014 along the Lobby of the Nagano Prefectural Office was mounted with the kind support of the Nagano Prefecture Government. Being the first ever Exhibition conducted by a foreign body to introduce their country in Nagano Prefectural Office, this was a gesture of the international collaboration efforts of Nagano under the leadership of Governor Abe. The event was not only a great opportunity to introduce Kenya to the people of Nagano but also a sign of the expanding relationship between the Nagano prefecture and the Kenya Embassy in pursuit of closer people to people relations between Kenya and Japan.
At the end of the Exhibition, the organizers had a one-day "Kenyan Market" which sold Kenyan products especially coffee, tea, art craft and beautiful ladies bags made out of Kanga. The items were very well received by the visitors which added to the success of the event. The Embassy hopes to mount a similar Exhibition during the Nagano Marathon on 20th April 2014.
