KENYA-JAPAN SMALL AND MEDIUM ENTERPRISES (SMES) INVESTMENT FORUM IN AICHI PREFECTURE

The Embassy wishes to announce that it will hold an Investment Forum in Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture on Tuesday 17th May, 2016. The Forum is sponsored by Toyota Tsusho Corporation and co-organized by the Honorary Consulate of Kenya in Nagoya, Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) Nagoya Office, Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and the Kenyans in Japan Association (KIJA) and supported by Aichi Prefecture, External Representation Office for Asia and the African Development Bank (AfDB) and United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) ITPO Tokyo.

The event is being held in the backdrop of the TICAD VI Summit which will be hosted in Nairobi from 27th to 28th August, 2016 as a platform for providing important information on investment opportunities in Kenya to the business community based in Aichi. It will also afford representatives of the public and private sectors from both Japanese and Kenyan the opportunity to network in promoting business and investment between the two countries.

Participants will benefit from Presentations which will be made by key stakeholders from the private and public sectors from both Kenya and Japan. This will include the TICAD VI Secretariat, Nairobi, Kenya Investment Authority, Kenya Private Sector Alliance, Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Kenya Industrial Estates, JICA, JETRO and Toyota Tsusho Corporation, among others.

Participation to the Forum is free. Applications should be lodged with the Embassy, not later than Friday, 13th May, 2016 by filling the application form which can be accessed on website or transmitting the attached application sheet to trade@kenyarep-jp.com
