The Kenya Embassy recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Meguro City Ward to cultivate closer cooperation in Sports and Culture for the mutual understanding and benefit of people in Meguro Ward, prior to the 2nd Meguro City Run which was held on 26th November 2017. Through this agreement, and by virtue of Kenya Embassy being located in the Meguro ward, Mr. Francis Ngugi, a Kenyan student and athlete who is also training in Hokkaido, was invited to the event as a guest runner. The Embassy was represented by Ms. Patricia Maangi and Ms. Kanako Sugai.

The aim of the Meguro City Run is to promote interaction, and maintain health and fitness to Residents in Meguro Ward.
