The Embassy participated in the 2nd African Seminar & Cultural Performance which was held on 16th September, 2018 at Hitachi Systems Hall Sendai. The event was organized by African Association of Miyagi (AFAM) and supported by Tohoku Exposition Memorial International Exchange Fund and Sendai Tourism, Convention and International Association (SENTIA).

The event included a public seminar themed Africa- Japan Partnership for the Achievement of the SDGs. H.E the Ambassador Mr. S. K. Maina, MBS was one of the key speakers during the seminar. The Embassy also exhibited Kenyan products and culture at the event.
