The Mission in collaboration with UNIDO ITPO, Tokyo and Osaka Prefectural Government, co-organized “Kenya SDGs Business Round-table’ workshop in Osaka city on 3rd July 2019. Participants were drawn from 10 invited companies mainly from Kansai region that had expressed interest to invest in Kenya. The Mission was represented by Mr. Paul M. Kaliih, Minister Counselor/Deputy Head of Mission and Ms. Naoko Yagi, Trade Assistant. The workshop also served as one of the Pre-TICADVII events being organised by the Mission. It was officially opened by Mr. Junta Nakahara, an Associate Director General in Osaka Prefectural Government. Mr. Kaliih gave the opening Speech.
During her key note speech, Ms. Heather Munyao, from KENINVEST, Nairobi, who was participating as a Delegate to a week-long investment program organised by UNIDO ITPO, Tokyo, focused her presentation on ongoing reforms by Kenya Government to make the country the most preferred investment destination in Africa and showcased various investment opportunities available. At end of the workshop, the invited companies were assured of the mission’s facilitation during their business trip to Kenya.
