The Kenya Tourism sector has developed tourism and hospitality protocols on health and safety as part of the sector’s preparedness to cope and live with COVID-19 as a ‘New Normal’. The protocol is intended to mitigate the effects of the disruptions caused by the corona virus disease in business and people’s livelihoods. The protocols emphasise institutional Operational and Staff Preparedness towards a step by step safe reopening of the sector that will ensure a safe experience for visitors/guests and service providers. This will be critical in rebuilding the requisite trust and confidence amongst visitors to rejuvenate and sustain their demand for Kenya’s tourism products to a level that will allow for further investments in the sector for it to bounce back.
With all these preparations Kenya is quickly getting ready to reopen the sector. Therefore, “to all visitors from near and far, Magical Kenya awaits. Karibuni, we are ready to receive you”. For more information, we invite you to peruse the protocol below.
