COMMENDATION AWARDED BY MINISTER FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS OF JAPAN

The Charge d’Affaires a.i. Mr. Festus Wangwe received Mr. Ali Attas, Chief Instructor of Swahili Language at the Foreign Service Training Institute of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan at the Kenya Embassy Chancery.

Mr. Attas was awarded a commendation by H.E. Mr. Toshimitsu Motegi, Minister of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) for the promotion of mutual understanding between Japan and foreign countries.

During his tenure at the Foreign Service Institute of MOFA-Japan, Mr. Attas has fostered good understanding between the people of Japan and Kenya through the use of Kiswahili language to build lasting connections.

The Charge d’Affaires a.i. congratulated Mr. Attas for the commendation awarded to him by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan and expressed his appreciation for being an ambassador of Kenya’s culture throughout his career as a Language Instructor in Japan.
