H.E Amb. Tabu Irina, MBS held a consultative meeting with Mr. Justus Chepkwony, Chairman of the Kenyans in Japan Association (KIJA) on Wednesday 16th June, 2021 at the Chancery.
During the meeting, Mr. Chepkwony apprised the Ambassador of the activities of KIJA and gave an overview of the status of the Association. The discussions also touched on diaspora and consular matters relating to the welfare of all Kenyans residing in Japan.
While applauding the effort and dedication by the KIJA Executive members in ensuring the safety and prosperity of Kenyans in Japan, the Ambassador undertook to work very closely with the Association towards this endeavour. H.E the Ambassador welcomed the proposed transition of the Executive after the General Elections scheduled to be held in July, 2021, and assured the Chairman of the full support and cooperation of the Embassy to the incoming officials.
