MEETING BETWEEN THE CABINET SECRETARY FOR SPORTS, CULTURE AND HERITAGE, AMB. (DR.) AMINA MOHAMED AND MR. WITOLD BANKA, PRESIDENT OF THE WORLD ANTI-DOPING AGENCY

Amb. (Dr.) Amina Mohamed, the Cabinet Secretary for Sports, Culture and Heritage and H.E. the Ambassador Tabu Irina with Mr. Witold Banka, President of the World Anti-Doping Agency

The Cabinet Secretary for Sports, Culture and Heritage, Amb. (Dr.) Amina Mohamed met with Mr. Witold Banka, President of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) on Saturday 24th July, 2021.

The Cabinet Secretary and the Minister held discussions on several aspects of cooperation between the Ministry and the Agency, with emphasis on promotion of clean and fair competition amongst Kenyan athletes.

The Cabinet Secretary assured the President that Kenya acknowledges the importance of educating Kenyan young athletes on matters of anti-doping, so as to ensure their long term success on and off the tracks. She reiterated that Ministry and the Government of Kenya are committed to the strong partnership with the Agency and that the Ministry will engage more young athletes in ongoing Anti-Doping initiatives.
