H.E. Ambassador Tabu Irina, MBS undertook an official visit to Kurume City, the host city of the Kenya Olympic and Paralympics Team for Pre-games Training from 31st October to 2nd November 2021.
While in Kurume, H.E. the Ambassador called on H.W the Mayor Mr. Tsutomu Okubo and conveyed sincere appreciation to the Mayor and the people of Kurume City for the warm welcome and hospitality accorded to Team Kenya during the pre-games training in the city. The Ambassador delivered a special message on behalf of Amb. (Dr.) Amina C. Mohamed, Cabinet Secretary for Sports, Culture and Heritage, and a plaque from the National Olympics Committee of Kenya. H.E. the Ambassador also called on Mr. Yasuto Motomura, Chairman of Kurume Chamber of Commerce and Industry to express deep gratitude for the support extended to Team Kenya by the Chamber.
Other visits include Ohashi and Kawai elementary schools where the Ambassador also lauded the children’s support for cheering on Team Kenya during the Olympics.
